Ministry Partners
At Friendly Avenue, we are committed to living out Christ’s mission at home and beyond. While we serve as one church body, we recognize that God has called specific organizations to do deep, specialized work in areas of unique need.
We are proud to link arms with these trusted ministry partners. We believe that by sharing our resources and support with them, we can see the work of God carried out more specifically and deeply across our city and the world.
These partners are an extension of our mission to make Christ-centered disciples. They allow us to:
-
Love more effectively by supporting experts in specialized care and advocacy.
-
Learn from those on the front lines of global and local ministry.
-
Live out our calling to be a blessing to the world through the name of Jesus.
Together with these ministry partners, we are working to ensure the light of the Gospel reaches every corner of our community.

Potter's House
Potters House Community Kitchen (Potter’s House) is a ministry that Friendly Avenue Church of Christ (FACC) actively works with as part of the Greensboro Urban Ministry. Since the late 1980’s FACC has served meals at what is known as the Potter’s House. The second Saturday of the month is our service date where we serve up to 350 people in need. Community kitchen guests come from all over the city, and for many of them, this may be the only meal they will eat that day. Potter’s House has an open-door policy – everyone is welcome, without question or qualification. For more information, click here.

Churches of Christ Disaster Relief
Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort (CoC DRE), is an organization in Nashville, TN that helps disaster areas across the US, and US Territories. They only work through a local Church of Christ in or near the disaster area. When a major disaster such as a tornado, hurricane, wildfire or flood hits, CoC DRE reaches out to local congregations, to determine the level of damage, and to offer these supplies at no cost. The local congregation goes to work distributing the supplies to their community, hoping to build new relationships while helping those in need, being able to teach them the Gospel and bring the lost to Christ. Once rebuilding is complete, they also help uninsured, low-income families with replacement of some of the items they lost due to the disaster, all paid for by the Lord's church. For more information click here.
EEM
EEM (Eastern European Mission) shares God's Word with the people of Eastern Europe and beyond and seeks to educate and inspire God's servants in this work. EEM publishes, prints, and distributes Bibles and Bible-based materials free to all in 30+ countries and 20+ languages through a vast network of ministry partners. For more information click here.

M.A.G.I. Boxes
We collect items to put into M.A.G.I. boxes (Making a Godly impact) to send to children. This year we collected 280 boxes which are going to Honduras. Members have gone on this trip and were able to personally hand out the boxes. It really does make a godly impact on the children. For some, it is the only gift they receive at Christmas. This is a ministry of Healing Hands International. Click for more information.
San Juan De La Maguana
In obedience to Christ's "marching orders" in Matthew 28, our Missions Ministry takes the Good News from our own backyard to the far corners of the globe to make disciples who love, learn, and live. For many years, we have faithfully partnered with our sister church in San Juan de la Maguana, Dominican Republic, to heal the sick, comfort the hopeless, and demonstrate the love of Jesus through deep, cross-cultural relationship.

Triad Area Deaf Ministry
The Triad Area Deaf Ministry is an important community mission effort supported by the Friendly Avenue Church of Christ. This ministry is working to serve a growing number of the deaf community in the Triad and other areas virtually each week.
