Contacts: Peter Rode - Adults The Children's Education Ministry selects and orders curriculum, recruits teachers for each of the thirteen classes, checks attendance, maintains supplies in the media room, and develops VBS (or equivalent) for children 2 years old through 6th grade. Children are promoted in September. The objective of this ministry is to teach and encourage our children to use God's word in their daily lives. This ministry is always seeking to enlist the talents of qualified teachers. The Youth Education Ministry plans and develops the curriculum for the classroom and secures teachers for each of classes into which students in grades 7-12 are divided. Its objective is to provide the guidance necessary for our young people seventh grade through high school to grow spiritually and socially in a Christian environment. The Adult Education Ministry is responsible for the coordination of our adult education program. They recruit teachers and provide training as needed. They also develop the curriculum, plan special classes and in many other ways strive to meet the needs of the adults in this congregation and in the community. Ministry's Mission: To prepare children to remain in Christ by acquiring knowledge of God's word. To create an education program that will be a magnet to draw others in. Target Population: Primarily the congregation, who will then reach out to bring others in. Ministry Goals: To make classes interesting, relevant, and faith building and to equip members to do God's work. (Phil. 2:10; Eph. 4) Ministry Responsibilities/Tasks: To oversee and plan curriculum for education of children and adults and to administer the program. |
